On the 17th of February, 2023, Vasti, and thus Westportia, declared war, with D4rkVortex stating:<blockquote>The current status quo cannot be allowed to continue. As such, it is time for The Republic of Vasti to join our ally, Westportia, in a fight for freedom. I therefore, declare war on the nation of Novaterra.</blockquote>

After several weeks of stagnant development in the war, D4rkv0rtex declared that Vasti would now fight on Novaterra's side and that Seananville was neutral on the 13<sup>th</sup> of April. The next day, Daysant proposed a peace deal, requesting a white peace between Vasti and between Seananville, and for Paixville to be annexed into Novaterra as the Governate of New Melbourne.<br>
On the 16<sup>th</sup>, this deal was rejected by xClavice so the treaty was modified to give xClavice full autonomy in the existing built up land, which was accepted the day after, exactly two months after the declaration of war.
