Elysia MC:How to help

The Elysia MC wiki is, obviously, a wiki, and this means that anyone, including you, can change it.

Creating an account

Your first step to helping out is creating an account. While you can edit on the Elysia MC wiki without one, an account has additional bonuses such as:

• Hiding your IP (MediaWiki will attribute any of your edits to your IP)
• Having an identity so people know it's you
• The ability to edit certain pages

Your account name should be the same as your Minecraft IGN.

Editing articles

Most of the time you will be editing articles on the wiki. You can do this by pressing the edit button on the top right of each article, beside the title. On desktop it is a blue link and on mobile it is a pencil.
We advise you use the source editor as it gives you a lot more control over what you can write, however if you are inexperienced with MediaWiki we would suggest using the visual editor due to its clarity and ease of use.
Note: you cannot edit certain important pages like the Main Page to stop vandalism. In cases like this, you will need to ask a wiki admin.

Creating articles

You may encounter an article that does not exist, which can be identified with links like this. You should spot these out and create pages for them. Simply click on it and you can begin editing as you would a regular article.
If you want to create an article instantly, you can go to the search bar and type the article name. A red link should pop up and you can edit that.
