Runway

A runway is a flat piece of land in which planes can land and take off. Although runways are rare, they are becoming increasingly common.

Novaterran

Novaterran runways measure 70m by 13m. They are typically made of stone, however, they can be made of any material. They are typically surrounded by a one-metre-thick border of some tiled stone or other construction material.
A yellow line (typically sandstone) runs down the centre of the runway. This is so planes taking off and landing on the runway can align itself to the centre. Glowstone blocks are dotted across the line for enhanced visibility during night.
A glowstone strip is at the end of the runway to show any planes landing on the runway the correct way to land. Also at the end of a runway is a letter to signify the direction of the runway.
Sometimes, Novaterran runways are bidirectional. This means that they have no dedicated landing or takeoff direction. On bidirectional runways, the glowstone strip normally parallel to the letter is on both ends of the runway. There is also a single pair of glowstone blocks in the middle of the yellow line.
